Ingredients8 ounces (250 g) lean ground lamb
8 ounces (250 g) lean ground beef
2 tablespoons (30 mL) pitted and chopped kalamata olives
1 teaspoon (5 mL) minced garlic
1 tablespoon (15 mL) chopped fresh mint or 2 teaspoons (10 mL) dried
2 teaspoons (10 mL) dried oregano
1 teaspoon (5 mL) finely minced
Salt and pepper, to taste
4 hamburger buns
In a large bowl, lightly mix ingredients together using your hands. Without packing, form into 4 patties, about 3/4 inch (2 cm) thick.
Place on lightly oiled grill and cook over medium heat with the lid down for 6 to 7 minutes on each side, or to desired doneness. Place on buns and garnish as desired.
Makes 4 servings.
Tip: Delicious when topped with goat cheese.
