
Easy Chili
Ingredients
1 tablespoon (15 mL)
Compliments canola oil
½ red onion, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
1 red pepper, chopped
28 oz (796 mL) Compliments whole tomatoes, no salt added
24 oz (680 mL) tomato sauce, no salt added
19 oz (540 mL) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
1 teaspoon (5 mL) chili powder
3 Compliments Balance no-meat burger
Directions
In a large pot, heat oil and sauté onion and peppers. Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, kidney beans and chili powder. Simmer until vegetables soften. Crumble burgers and add to pot. Stir and simmer for 5 minutes or until hot (burgers do not need to be cooked). Serves 10.
