Painted bright red and white, Yarmouth’s Red Shed food truck is hard to miss. Located dockside at 81 Water St., it features standard but delicious food-truck fare like burgers, fish and chips, and fish tacos.

On a recent trip to Yarmouth, I stopped by and tried both the fish burger and tacos. Not only did the fish taste so fresh you’d think it had just been unloaded off a nearby boat, it was cooked to perfection in a light and crisp batter. The hand-cut chips were plentiful, and the slaw tangy and tasty.

Chances are that if you visit this summer, you’ll also meet the shed’s owner and Aussie transplant, Shane Ward. His friendly manner, in addition to some great take-out food, make this place the perfect spot in Yarmouth to grab a light lunch and enjoy the waterfront views. ~AB
