10 slices bread (stale preferred)
11 ounces turkey stock
3/4 cup celery diced
3/4 cup onion diced
1 tsp turkey fat (butter or margarine)
1 tsp summer savory
Salt and pepper to taste
Cut bread into small pieces.
Melt fat in frying pan and add onion and celery and cook on low heat until tender.
Add to bread.
Add turkey stock and seasonings. Mix well and cook separate from turkey.
Place in buttered baking dish and cook covered for 45 minutes at 325º F. You may finish uncovered for the last 20 minutes to crisp up the stuffing.
