Ten men, five canoes, one Canadian Heritage River—and an unforgettable Tobeatic wilderness trip
The following are excerpts from the diary I kept of a five-day trip I
took in May of last year, in a notebook that came to be called the
“black box”… in case something went wrong. The “black box” became my
refuge from the constant company of nine other guys gone feral in the
Tobeatic Wilderness Area at the heart of southwestern Nova Scotia, one
of the most remote parts of the province.
