Ingredients8 thick slices of home-style bread
Cranberry mayo (see below)
8 strips crispy bacon
4 turkey slices
4 oz (125 g) shredded Gruyère
2 tbsp (30 mL) butter
Spread cranberry mayo on each slice of bread. Place two pieces of bacon in each sandwich; top with turkey and Gruyère, dividing the cheese evenly between the four sandwiches.
Spread butter on the outside of each sandwich, just as you would for grilled cheese.
Place in hot skillet, and brown on both sides until cheese is melted. Serve with salad. Makes 4 sandwiches.
4 tsp (20 mL) cranberry sauce
2 tsp (10 mL) Dijon mustard
2 tsp (10 mL) mayonnaise
Mix cranberry sauce, mustard and mayonnaise.
