In the May/June issue Harvey Sawler wrote an interesting story about the Milton Fountain (“The Golden Horse of Yarmouth”).

I grew up in Yarmouth so this brought back a head-full of memories. However I question Mr. Sawler’s information that the water in the fountain came from nearby Lake George. When we were children, swimming in Lake Milo was enjoyable summer fun—and it is so much closer to the Milton Fountain than is Lake George.
