I have to tell you how Saltscapes magazine keeps two Maritime hearts connected, Joanne Warren living in Springfield, Virginia, and me, her mother, Helen Hebert of Moncton.
I visit Joanne and her family for two to three months at a time and I love to read Saltscapes articles over and over again. This past Christmas Joanne said, “We have to do something with the old Saltscapes. Some were the first published.” So I proceeded to reread them all and capture the essence of the stories one more time. I couldn’t bear discarding any issues, so some came back
to New Brunswick to be passed on to a nursing home.
Thank you Saltscapes for keeping Joanne and I connected to the Maritime region. The stories and the recipes are cherished in our heart and soul.
