Joys of Nature

My issue of Saltscapes arrived in the mail today. Whoohoo.... the highlight of the day. Being a transplanted Nova Scotian and now living up here in Hamilton I look forward to my favourite magazine arriving so it can take me back home, at least for a few moments.

I love reading the articles, and thanks to some good downhome recipes, I have convinced my Ontario-born girlfriend to muster up some traditional cooking. I get home at least two to three times a year to visit mom and friends and take in some motorcycling, and I especially look forward to trout fishing season.

I was born in Caledonia, Queens County, and always take time for some rewarding trout fishing up at Grafton Brook. Nothing better than starting off a crisp morning fighting black flies, picking off wood ticks and enjoying the scenery. Can’t wait to get back for a visit!
