Grandmother Knew Best PDF  | Print |

Let me begin by saying how much my wife and I enjoy your magazine. It is so refreshing to see things from a Maritime point of view that are well and lavishly presented.
One of the things we look forward to is the number of excellent recipes that appear in each issue. On this point I would have to say the recipe for your Bean Brownies (Marie’s Menu; March/April 2007) was interesting in concept, ponderous in execution and ultimately disappointing in result. Suffice to say that this is only the second dish that my wife has felt compelled to throw out in almost 50 years.

I am tempted to recall one of my grandmother’s favourite expressions: “‘Every man to his own taste,’ said the man as he kissed his cow.”
That said, please be assured that we will continue to look forward to every issue of your fine publication.
