I was deeply touched by the story “Christmas at the Creamery” (November/December). It is wonderful to hear when those of different generations, and faiths, break bread together in the community. There was an egalitarian sense about this story, as roles were reversed and servers became those being served, as Christians and non-Christians alike enjoyed the feast and festivities together. Isn’t this what Christmas is about?
As a small child I lived a short distance from the Tatamagouche
Creamery. It was a time when we always bought local products. My mother
insisted that Tatamagouche Butter was the very best butter you could
buy. I heard that so often and with such emphasis that to this day I
buy Tatamagouche Butter, no matter where it is made.
The Creamery is no longer being used to make butter, but I feel it is
now being used to serve a much higher purpose. It is being used to
bring blessings to all.
Thank you for this wonderful story.
