			<title>Christmas eve chowder</title>
			<link>http://www.saltscapes.com/index.php?option=com_myblog&amp;show=holiday-heyday.html&amp;Itemid=0#comment-395</link>
<description>A Christmas eve tradition in my family for as long as I can remember is having seafood chowder on Christmas eve. Being Catholic, it was my mother's way of not eating meat on that day, and creating a delicious meal that would stick to all our ribs as we celebrated a long evening of Christmas eve activities and then midnight mass. Her recipe called for a lot of interesting things from the sea from a white fish, lobster and scallops plus potatoes and onions. I have made it for years in my own home, and it warms my heart even more, on Christmas eve, when my friends and in-laws compliment my mother, Natalie's yummy recipe.
